Wheel Throwing Foundations: 4-Week Series is a beginner-friendly pottery wheel course created for anyone who wants consistent practice, guided support, and the chance to truly build confidence throwing clay. With only 4 students per session, this intimate class allows for more one-on-one attention, personalized coaching, and steady growth each week.

Held at the same time every Tuesday for four weeks, this series is designed to create rhythm and momentum so you can improve faster through repetition and consistency. Whether you’ve never touched a wheel or want to strengthen your basics, this course meets you where you are. Over four weeks, your teacher will guide you through the full pottery process.

All levels welcome, beginners encouraged.

What You’ll Do:
Week 1: Wheel fundamentals — centering, pulling walls, and learning how to throw basic forms
Week 2: Trimming and attachments — refine your pieces, add handles, feet, and details
Week 3: Guided open studio time — extra throwing practice with teacher support
Week 4: Glazing and surface design — finish your best work with color and texture

Class Details:

Location: 2132 E Bijou Street, Downtown Colorado Springs.
Ember & Bloom is located inside a secure building — please park in the back lot and enter through the green door with the wooden staircase. Your instructor will unlock the door for you!

Duration: 2 hours for 4 sessions(exact class times vary; please choose below). Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in.

Class Size: Classes require a minimum of 2 people and are capped at 4 people to keep the experience personal and hands-on.
If a class does not meet the minimum, Ember & Bloom reserves the right to refund your purchase, transfer your spot, or combine sessions to ensure a great creative experience for everyone.

Age Requirement: Adults, 18+.

Price Includes: Clay, tools, underglazes, firings, and a fully guided 2-hour class. 

Firing & Pickup:

Your piece will be carefully dried, bisque fired, and glaze fired by the studio.
Please allow 4 weeks for completion. You’ll receive an email once they’re ready, and will have 2 weeks to pick up after notification.
Please opt in for marketing emails to ensure you receive your pickup notification!

Refund Policy:

Cancellations made 7 days or more before class can be transferred to a future session or used as credit toward another workshop.
Refunds are not available for no-shows or cancellations made within 7 days class time.
