At Ember & Bloom, we believe your work and you deserve to be respected. Whether you're firing a few pieces a month or filling full shelves, we offer a reliable, supportive kiln rental space for Colorado Springs potters of all rhythms. We offer two flexible ways to fire your work: pay-as-you-go for occasional use, or monthly memberships for consistent makers who want ease, savings, and priority access.

1. Potter's Monthly Memberships

For the makers who value consistency, want affordable support, and need the freedom to drop off on their own schedule, membership makes it simple.

Designed for independent potters, our monthly kiln plans offer the most consistent, flexible firing experience in Colorado Springs. Your monthly plan includes 4 firings per month (2 bisque, 2 glaze), plus Potter’s Price perks like discounted clay, lower glaze and tool prices, no measuring, priority kiln access, and your own studio access code for flexible drop-off and pickup on your schedule.

Clay and glaze aren’t included in your plan, but picking them up is easy—we stock a curated selection of Rocky Mountain Clay, glaze, and tools right at Ember & Bloom. With your Potter’s Price discount, you’ll always pay less than the public, so stocking up is simple, affordable, and right where you fire.

2. Pay-As-You-Go

Perfect for occasional makers, testers, or artists who want the freedom to fire without a monthly plan.

With our Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) option, you can fire pottery whenever you need — no membership required.

Rates:

  • Bisque Firing: $0.04 per cubic inch
  • Glaze Firing: $0.05 per cubic inch

You’ll measure each piece (L × W × H in inches) and only pay for the space you use. Not sure how to measure? No problem! We can measure your pieces for you for a small service fee.

To start a firing:

  1. Email your inquiry or send your measurements + desired firing type.
  2. You’ll receive a digital waiver to sign before drop-off. Invoice will be sent once measurements are verified.
  3. Payment must be completed before pickup.
  4. If you’re picking up after hours, you’ll be sent a temporary door code to access your finished work.

🪴 To keep firings smooth and reliable, we ask that PAYG work must be made with clay purchased from Ember & Bloom (we’ve got plenty in stock when you swing by!) or approved by owner before firing.
