Social, fun, low-pressure class designed for connection and exploration.

This 2-hour date night (or date day!) invites couples to unwind, laugh, and experience the potter's wheel. Taught in downtown Colorado Springs, this class is designed for couples or close friends who want to play in clay side-by-side.

In this small-group session (just 4 students), you’ll learn the basics of centering, shaping, and pulling clay on the wheel with guided instruction throughout. The focus is on exploration and experience, not perfection or production.

You’ll make a few simple forms during class. Finished pieces will be handled and fired by the studio, then ready for pickup at a later date. If you love this experience, the next step is a multi-week wheel cohort or membership. 

All levels welcome. No experience necessary.

Class Details:

Location: 2132 E Bijou Street, Downtown Colorado Springs.
Ember & Bloom is located inside a secure building — please park in the back lot and enter through the green door with the wooden staircase. Your instructor will unlock the door for you!

Duration: 2 hours (exact class times vary; please choose below). Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in.

Class Size: Classes require a minimum of 1 couple and are capped at 2 couples to keep the experience personal and hands-on.
If a class does not meet the minimum, Ember & Bloom reserves the right to refund your purchase, transfer your spot, or combine sessions to ensure a great creative experience for everyone.

Age Requirement: Adults, 18+.

Price Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, firings, and a fully guided 2-hour class. 

Firing & Pickup:

Your piece will be carefully dried, bisque fired, and glaze fired by the studio.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for completion. You’ll receive an email once they’re ready, and will have 2 weeks to pick up after notification.
Please opt in for marketing emails to ensure you receive your pickup notification!

Refund Policy:

Cancellations made 7 days or more before class can be transferred to a future session or used as credit toward another workshop.
Refunds are not available for no-shows or cancellations made within 48 hours of class time.
