Self-Guided Wheel Session

Self-Guided Wheel Session

This calm, intentional space was created for makers who are looking for consistency, rhythm, and a dedicated creative practice without the pressure of a full production studio or rigid class schedule.

Wheel Sessions are self-guided, pre-booked throwing sessions in our wheel room. This offering is ideal for hobbyists, returning makers, and anyone ready to commit to a regular creative outlet that fits into real life.

Choose Your Session

2-Hour Wheel Session (Recommended)
Our standard option and the best way to enjoy the wheel. Two hours gives you time to settle in, throw comfortably, and clean up without rushing. Perfect for first-timers, visitors, and anyone easing into wheel work.

1-Hour Add-On
Available if you’d like a little extra time during your visit.

All wheel sessions are self-guided.

Pay-As-You-Go Wheel Sessions

Pay-as-you-go sessions are ideal if you’re trying things out, visiting town, or just want occasional wheel time. You’ll have use of one wheel during your booked session, access to shared studio tools, and short-term storage on our community shelf for up to seven days.

After that, work can be picked up, recycled, or finished through pay-as-you-go firing. PAYG sessions do not include firing or personal shelf space.

For Members

Active Wheel Access Members can book through the Member-Only option on this page.

Membership is designed for people who want a consistent, creative hobby and a studio they can return to week after week. Members receive included wheel sessions each month, a personal shelf for works in progress, firing for work made during sessions, access to basic tools, and a calm shared studio environment.

If you ever need more time, additional sessions are easy to add.

Studio Flow

We have four wheels, so each session shows four available spots. Booking reserves one wheel just for you during that time. We ask everyone to clean their wheel and workspace before their session ends so the studio stays easy and welcoming for the next maker.

All wheel users complete a quick studio form before their first visit, and first-time users will have a brief check-in with Sara to go over studio flow and safety.

A Quick Heads-Up

Wheel sessions are best for ages 18+ with some familiarity using a pottery wheel, as there is no instruction. If you prefer instruction, please consider our classes. Clay must be purchased through Ember & Bloom or approved prior to firing. This space is meant for personal practice and small-batch making, not production work.

If you’re ever unsure whether something’s a good fit, just ask—we’re always happy to help.
