Our Parent-Child Clay Turkey Hands Class turns your child's little hand into a clay keepsake you can hold onto for years! Kids ages 3+ and their grown-ups will create their own handprint turkey from clay, then decorate it however they’d like.

In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll roll out a slab of clay, trace and cut around your child’s hand, then transform their handprint into a one-of-a-kind turkey. Shape it into a small bowl or dish, keep it flat, or add a hole to turn it into a wall hanging or holiday decoration.

Then comes the fun part! Use underglazes to paint your turkey with classic fall colors, bright rainbow feathers, silly details, patterns, names, dates, or anything else that makes it feel like yours.

This class is all about creating a little snapshot of this stage of childhood. Tiny hands don’t stay tiny forever, but your clay turkey can come back out every Thanksgiving.

All levels welcome, beginners encouraged.

What You’ll Do:

• Roll and cut a clay slab using your child’s hand as the template
• Turn the handprint into a turkey bowl, dish, wall hanging, or keepsake
• Paint and personalize your turkey with underglazes
• Create a Thanksgiving memory together at a slow, gentle pace
  

Class Details:

Location: 2132 E Bijou Street, Downtown Colorado Springs.
Ember & Bloom is located inside a secure building — please park in the back lot and enter through the green door with the wooden staircase. Your instructor will unlock the door for you!

Duration: 2 hours (exact class times vary; please choose below). Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in.

Class Size: Classes require a minimum of 4 people and are capped at 10 people to keep the experience personal and hands-on.
If a class does not meet the minimum, Ember & Bloom reserves the right to refund your purchase, transfer your spot, or combine sessions to ensure a great creative experience for everyone.

Age Requirement: 3+ and accompanied by an adult. The ticket price is for one person, please purchase per head.  

Price Includes: Clay, tools, underglazes, firings, and a fully guided 2-hour class. 

Firing & Pickup:

Your piece will be carefully dried, bisque fired, and glaze fired by the studio.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for completion. You’ll receive an email once they’re ready, and will have 2 weeks to pick up after notification.
Please opt in for marketing emails to ensure you receive your pickup notification!

Refund Policy:

Cancellations made 7 days or more before class can be transferred to a future session or used as credit toward another workshop.
Refunds are not available for no-shows or cancellations made within 7 hours of class time.
