Our Parent-Child Clay Monsters Class invites kids (ages 3+) and their parents to get a little weird and handbuild their very own clay monsters together! This class allows for multiple children or parents, just purchase one ticket per person.

In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to slab, coil, pinch, carve, and decorate your creatures with underglaze. Add horns, teeth, eyeballs, spikes, silly faces, or whatever strange features your monster needs to come to life.

This workshop is all about play, not perfection. Kids get to let their imaginations run wild, parents get to create alongside them, and everyone leaves behind a one-of-a-kind little monster to be fired and finished by the studio. 

All levels welcome, beginners encouraged.

What You’ll Do:

• Build a clay monster together using 1 pounds of clay per person
  
• Use underglazes to add personality
• Create together at a slow, gentle pace
  

Class Details:

Location: 2132 E Bijou Street, Downtown Colorado Springs.
Ember & Bloom is located inside a secure building — please park in the back lot and enter through the green door with the wooden staircase. Your instructor will unlock the door for you!

Duration: 2 hours (exact class times vary; please choose below). Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in.

Class Size: Classes require a minimum of 4 people and are capped at 10 people to keep the experience personal and hands-on.
If a class does not meet the minimum, Ember & Bloom reserves the right to refund your purchase, transfer your spot, or combine sessions to ensure a great creative experience for everyone.

Age Requirement: 3+ and accompanied by an adult. The ticket price is for one person, please purchase per head.  

Price Includes: Clay, tools, underglazes, firings, and a fully guided 2-hour class. 

Firing & Pickup:

Your piece will be carefully dried, bisque fired, and glaze fired by the studio.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for completion. You’ll receive an email once they’re ready, and will have 2 weeks to pick up after notification.
Please opt in for marketing emails to ensure you receive your pickup notification!

Refund Policy:

Cancellations made 7 days or more before class can be transferred to a future session or used as credit toward another workshop.
Refunds are not available for no-shows or cancellations made within 7 hours of class time.
