Matching Mugs: Pottery Date Night

This 2-hour Matching Mugs Date Night is your chance to slow down, laugh, and make something meaningful: clay, color, and quality time all in one cozy evening.

Taught in downtown Colorado Springs, this class is designed for couples or close friends who want to handbuild a pair of matching mugs together. You’ll learn how to form, shape, and personalize your mugs with underglaze, creating keepsakes you’ll use and treasure long after class ends.

It’s relaxed, social, and beginner-friendly — no experience needed, just bring your favorite person and a good sense of humor.

All levels welcome, beginners encouraged.

What You’ll Do:

• Handbuild two matching mugs (2 lbs of clay per person)
• Learn slab-building and shaping techniques
• Add texture, color, and personal touches using underglazes
• Enjoy a calm, creative space with step-by-step guidance

Class Details:

Location: 2132 E Bijou Street, Downtown Colorado Springs.
Ember & Bloom is located inside a secure building — please park in the back lot and enter through the green door with the wooden staircase. Your instructor will unlock the door for you!

Duration: 2 hours (exact class times vary; please choose below). Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in.

Class Size: Classes require a minimum of 2 couples and are capped at 5 couples (10 people) to keep the experience personal and hands-on.
If a class does not meet the minimum, Ember & Bloom reserves the right to refund your purchase, transfer your spot, or combine sessions to ensure a great creative experience for everyone.

Age Requirement: Adults only, 18+

Price Includes: Clay, tools, underglazes, firings, and a fully guided 2-hour class. 

Firing & Pickup:

Your mugs will be carefully dried, bisque fired, and glaze fired by the studio.
Please allow 2–4 weeks for completion. You’ll receive an email once they’re ready, and will have 2 weeks to pick up after notification.

Refund Policy:

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before class can be transferred to a future session or used as credit toward another workshop.
Refunds are not available for no-shows or cancellations made within 48 hours of class time.
