If you love BMX and Speckled Buff, meet your new favorite: BMX Speck, a smooth, creamy white mid-fire stoneware with just the right dusting of speckles. This clay body offers the best of both worlds: the softness and workability of BMX with the natural, glaze-enhancing charm of manganese speck.

Throwers, handbuilders, and glaze lovers will enjoy its clean surface and dependable texture. Best fired to cone 5/6 for the richest results, BMX Speckled fires to a warm white with pronounced speckling that shines through both gloss and satin glazes.

Please note: Due to the manganese content, this clay may bloat if fired beyond cone 7 or in heavy reduction. Always test first in gas kilns.
