Functional Pottery: Berry Bowls is a joyful, beginner-friendly clay workshop that will teach you how to make your very own ceramic berry bowl and plate.
In this 2-hour handbuilding class, you’ll create and decorate your own pottery pieces using slab, coil, pinch, or sculpting techniques to make art that will last a lifetime!
All levels welcome, beginners encouraged.
What You’ll Do:
- Use 2 pounds of clay to handbuild your own berry bowl and dish!
- Learn simple slab and shaping techniques to form your piece
- Personalize it with texture, stamps, or underglaze colors
Class Details:
Location: 2132 E Bijou Street, Downtown Colorado Springs.
Ember & Bloom is located inside a secure building — please park in the back lot and enter through the green door with the wooden staircase. Your instructor will unlock the door for you!
Duration: 2 hours (exact class times vary; please choose below). Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in.
Class Size: Classes require a minimum of 4 people and are capped at 10 people to keep the experience personal and hands-on.
If a class does not meet the minimum, Ember & Bloom reserves the right to refund your purchase, transfer your spot, or combine sessions to ensure a great creative experience for everyone.
Age Requirement: Adults, 18+.
Price Includes: Clay, tools, underglazes, firings, and a fully guided 2-hour class.
Firing & Pickup:
Your piece will be carefully dried, bisque fired, and glaze fired by the studio.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for completion. You’ll receive an email once they’re ready, and will have 2 weeks to pick up after notification.

Refund Policy:
Cancellations made 7 days or more before class can be transferred to a future session or used as credit toward another workshop.
